Most transportation companies now demand that new drivers graduate from a certified training program as a prerequisite to employment. Commercial Heavy Equipment Training (CHET) was formed over 10 years ago as a subsidiary of the Musket/Melburn Transportation Ltd. to provide a high caliber of training to the industry through its graduates.
CHET is registered as a Private Career College (PCC) with the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities and grants T2202 federal tax receipts making our courses entirely tax deductible. We are a proud member of the Truck Training Schools Associations of Ontario (TTSAO) which allows us to issue their certificate recognized by the insurance industry.
Our focus is primarily Class A (tractor-trailer) and Class D (straight truck and dump truck) with all courses and schedules tailored to meet the needs of each individual student. Our instructors are certified to the highest standards and have many years of real life experience in the many aspects of the trucking industry.
