MISSISSAUGA, ON – This April, Musket and CHET, its driving school, are excited to announce a new partnership with Make-A-Wish® Toronto & Central Ontario, a dynamic wish-granting organization that brings hope, strength, and joy to children across the country with life-threatening medical conditions.

Make-A-Wish Toronto & Central Ontario is one of eight chapters that make up Make-A-Wish® Canada. Founded in 1983, Make-A-Wish Canada has granted nearly 7,000 wishes with the help of 1,000 volunteers in communities across Canada.

Last year alone, Make-A-Wish Canada granted 550 wishes. In 2017, it has set an even more impressive goal of granting 650 magical, life-transforming wishes to eligible children. Musket is honoured to have the opportunity to play a role in making it possible for the organization to reach its goal.

Meghan McGill, senior manager, fund development at Make-A-Wish, expressed that “We are thrilled to partner with Musket Transport Ltd. The Musket Transport team is so passionate about making a difference in the community, and we are delighted to be working together to make wishes come true”.

Children with life-threatening medical conditions ranging in age from three to 17 are granted wishes that fall into one of four categories: “I wish to have”, “I wish to be”, “I wish to go” and “I wish to meet”.

Granting a child’s wish empowers him or her to believe that anything is possible. In fact, Make-A-Wish conducted a Wish Impact Study which revealed that 71 per cent of adult wish children believe their wish experience contributed to saving their lives.

The partnership with Make-A-Wish is the latest stride in Musket’s ongoing effort to support initiatives that impact families in the community.

Stay tuned for more exciting news about the partnership and ways that you can play a role in helping make a special wish come true this year.
